Wyzsza Szkola Biznesu - National-Louis University [WSB-NLU] is a leading business and management learning centre. Its mission is to educate the highest quality managerial cadre for economy, politics and administration, that means educating people who will be working both in Poland and in international institutions of EU. WSB-NLU has 300 faculty staff educating 4500 students at 3 departments: business, computer science and political science. The University has both managed and actively participated in various kinds of EU funded projects in the field of education, training, mobility and research including LEONARDO, SOCRATES and PHARE. The University focuses on projects related to SME development, such as e-learning, ICT use in business, and research related to SMEs in the field of managerial competences. It has delivered studies and training for the hospitality sector on three different levels: bachelor degree, post graduate studies and specialised training courses. The sector is very crucial to the region because of the tourist industry since Malopolska is one of the two top tourist regions in Poland. Specialised training courses have been developed for the food and drink industry, including to post-graduate level. Its role in this project will be to use its contacts as part of the valorisation process to ensure that materials developed meet the target group’s needs. It will also assist in the content production to ensure that the meets the Polish linguistic and cultural requirements and then in the piloting with both Polish SMEs in the hospitality and food production sectors as well as with potential migrant workers. Dissemination of the project’s results will also be a key function as will mainstreaming.
